The identity of Lausanne’s future metro system m3 starts from its defining condition: a fully underground line. We work with excavation and underground construction techniques, exposing their tectonics instead of hiding them. New surfaces are added only where necessary, using durable, simple materials.

A continuous handrail runs through every station, forming a clear line on which all objects are attached. The furniture is made from folded steel sheets, each piece of a distinct geometry suited to its function.
