Transformation of a post office into a veterinary clinic

The sorting station of the post office is intended to be replaced by a veterinary clinic. The ceiling raster serves as a base for the organisation of the space. A series of airy consultation rooms against the north facade are separated by a translucent filter to the main space. Lobby, waiting room, office, kitchen, seminars in the evening and yoga in the weekend, the generous space is able to host different activities for the village. The veterinary clinic seeks to be a place of gathering, intensively used by different actors on two or four legs (or more). The universal plaster wall system is dismantled and gypsum boards are either half way cut or replaced by polycarbonate. The elegant – yet always hidden – steel studs become part of the space. Binding the different spaces together, a continuous yellow line is painted on the blue floor, the two colours that our furry friends see the best.
